A simpler version of my landscape mugs!

*There were a couple pinholes on the surface of this one, but they’ve been sanded smooth, and are very visible in the photos. Because of the organic nature of my work, they didn’t bother me being on this mug. Especially with a glaze that looks so water-like and flowy already! But I just wanna make sure everyone is aware of them.

This mug was hand thrown on the wheel and glazed with overlapping colors that blend and meld together beautifully. And there’s a nice little surprise underneath. :) A little landscape embellishes the bottom, framed by the foot ring. A white terra sigillata is applied to leather hard clay, and the lines of the landscape are carved in by hand. Colored slip and underglazes are used to color it before it’s final firing.

Fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.

Microwave safe. Hand washing recommended.
